I have found two other sites in Devon that have quite a reputation for being haunted: Betsy Grimbals Tower in Tavistock and on Dartmoor -Post Bridge & Kitty Jay, and these places are not that far from Totnes.
Might be worth paying them a visit.

Doesn't look like QueenofSwords can make it - so looks like it's just us on the list at the moment!

Do I assume that this is definitely on then for this weekend? I won't want to leave booking a B&B until the last minute! Hopefully we can arrange some car sharing!! ;D

Car sharing sounds good, but it's especially difficult with my two seater

Hi, As far as we know that weekend is free for us too. We may well book in at the campsite we stayed at last time rather then getting a room at a B&B. Its cheaper plus there's no problem in coming and going during the night cos can't get locked out plus won't wake anyone up stumping around with our ghost hunting equipment. The campsite is real close to the castle and there's nothing quite like getting back to nature (as long I as I remember the sleepingbag this time of course )

Glad you and Dr Jones can make it! Good idea the camp site - but think I'll stick to a B&B - can get pretty chilly at night in early May!!!
;D

Def spooky, cupcake esp when I was sitting in the tent on my own trying to gather my nerves after our night vigil at the castle and DrJones decides its funny to run his finger nails down the outside of the tent . I was on the phone to Spooky at the time and my scream almost burst his eardrum . The campsite is really cool though. The owner of the site lives in a large house in front and told us that the windows of their house were actually taken from Berry Pomeroy castle (there's a picture of the house on our report for the 6th Oct.) The house was covered in red leaves. It looked amazing when we rolled up there in the day time. The campsite was actully closed for the season but they took pity on us cos we had driven for 4 and a half hours in an old mini. I think it only cost £8 to stay and is in walking distance of the castle. If you guys and anyone else fancies joining us at the campsite that'd be great ;D. We have a wide range of camping equipment including a gazeebo, and a picnic table with attached chairs. We could set up base camp there ;D. There is a very nice toilet and shower building on site too so its not really roughing it.

I used to be a hardened camper years ago, and I've actually got a very nice tent I bought fairly recently, but I think I'll stick with the B&B.....although anyone is very welcome to borrow the tent!.......... (sleeps two easily very roomy!)
