We were thinking it might be fun to all get together before Xmas and have a bite to eat and a few drinks?
If we can get a haunted venue then even better but not essential.
Any ideas for dates/times/location?
We will have to get in there soon as places are booking up fast.

Spooky, We won't need strong drinks, the spirits will turn up when they see us The Woolpack is a public house in Elstead near the famous Waverley Abbey. It is a pub with great bar food and very nice staff. It is highly recommended by a few people in my office. We could do the Woolpack and have a beer and a £5.95 bit of grub and then we could move on to the Abbey for a midnight vigil A pub meal will be easy to sort out as we will check with the pub what time they do food etc by having a pre-dinner drink with the GH team and then simply say for example: Tuesday 7th December 7.15pm - Meet at the pub drink and chat until 7.45pm whilst waiting for late comers 7.45pm - Order Bar Food 10pm - Leave pub to go to Waverley Abbey for vigil for going home to get some shut eye before work People then know the score and come/go when they want. We already have 7 names gagging to do it so it's worth it and you wont look silly in the pub on your own

I am unablr to do 11th December or the 17th/18th December so that is every Saturday ruled out from the 27th November onwards
Here are details of the woolpack incase people didn't see them on PF
The Woolpack
The Green, Elstead, Nr. Godalming, Surrey GU8 6HD Tel: 01252 703106 Fax: 01252 703497
Directions: Leaving the M25 at junction 10, take the A3 south west. About 5 miles beyond Guildford turn right onto the B3001 and you will reach the village of Elstead after around 2 miles.
The Woolpack can be found located by the village green in the heart of Elstead, midway between the old sheep market towns of Godalming and Farnham. It started life as a barn and became an inn in the 16th century when it was used by herders as a place to rest and refresh themselves on the way to market, leaving their sheep to graze on the common land. Visitors today will find a low beamed interior with open log fires, furnished with settles, spindle back chairs and plain tables. The traditional décor is enhanced by the use of paraphernalia from the wool industry, such as spindles and bobbins.
The bar is dominated by racks of cask ale, with dried hops overhead, and the fine, well-kept ales are served direct from the casks. There is also an excellent range of food, with the menu presented on blackboards, offering a continually changing selection of old English and colonial dishes. Everything is served in generous portions and there is a wonderful display of tempting home-made puddings to round off your meal.
This part of Surrey is a rambler's heaven with 500 acres of common and heathland to explore in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with over 80 kms of footpaths and bridleways. There are also many designated sites of special scientific interest. If you are exploring the area with `man's best friend', dogs on leads are welcome in the bar and garden room.
Kevin and Sally Macready and their team (some here for 16 years!) promote a warm, friendly, informal and welcoming atmosphere. So you can eat, drink, relax, and be merry.
Mon-Fri 11.00-15.00, 17.30-23.00; Sat 11.00-23.00; Sun 12.00-22.30 Inventive menus serving olde English cuisine Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Switch Beer garden, car park kevin.macready@whsmithnet.co.uk Thursley Nature Reserve 2 miles, Loseley House 6 miles, Winkworth Arboretum 7 miles, Guildford 7 miles, Farnham Castle 5 miles, Waverley Abbey 4 miles

Ok I difficult to do - most Fridays would be difficult unfortunately as Geoff works every Saturday and I do work some Saturdays too. If a Friday is the only day everyone else can make it then Friday it'll have to be. We'll just have to make sure we don't get too fuzzy headed for work then next day ;D Can't do - 26 th Nov 27th Nov 3rd Dec 4th Dec 10th Dec

As I said happy to do a Friday if thats the only day anyone else can do and pretty much the any day in the week would be ok, just won't get falling down drunk which would be a good thing. Anyone who has seen me falling down drunk will know why ;D ;D ;D. Its only the dates that I've indicated I can't do due to other commitments. ;D ;D ;D. Worst case senerio if we can't fix a date before Xmas we can arrange it for beginning of the New Year, when all the Xmas stuff is all done and dusted.

Wednesday 1st December ?
It's the day after pay day but not too early to ruin Christmas . . .
If half a dozen of us say yes then we can put it out there and any extras are welcome but not essential
Sam, how's Wednesday to you ?

Guys,
** Wednesday 1st December 2004 from 7.30pm **
I have just spoken to John at the Woolpack Inn, Elstead, GU8 6HD on 01252 703106 and have provisionally booked a table for approx 8 to 12 people to arrive and sit down between 7.30pm and 8pm. (If you want to arrive earlier then you can for drinks).
The table is booked under the name "Mr Beverley"
If you want to go and haven't replied to this thread then turn up at 7.30pm promptly so we can get additional tables in place before we eat.
Anyone is welcome (As long as they are prepared for chat about the Paranormal for an hour or so)
See you then
