I'm interested in that one. You are also near Titchfield Abbey remains there, not aware of any hauntings but you may as well see if you are in the area. (It's also free). I'll dig up a good pub or two as well......

Another free one. I like your thinking, young man. Geoff & I have been talking for some time about paying Netley Abbey a visit. It'd be for better with a group of us going. Count us in.( does it seem like I put my hand up for nearly every location or what? ;D

I think you mentioned this one in the past but I happened to spot it this afternoon and noticed how cheap it was to get in.

The Abbey was founded in the 13th century by Cistercian monks from Beaulieu Abbey, but is now little more than a ruin. The only building left standing is it’s military chapel, which was reputed to be haunted by Florence Nightingale at one time.
There is a local legend that “something dreadful” guards a treasure in an underground passage. One man is known to have tried to reach it, a Mr Sloan. As he staggered out of the tunnel he screamed to a labourer to “block it up, in the name of God!” before collapsing. He died, literally of fright.
