After our very brief visit to the Abbey on the 14th I think those who attended all agreed it was definitely worthy of further investigation. There have been numerous sightings and many a sceptic has been fixed upon leaving. The caretake of the site has also reported seeing strange shadows and figures walking the ruins, the most common being a tall white robed figure.
What we now need to do is either contact English Heritage or the Caretaker of the site to obtain over night access. The grounds are closed from 6pm onwards in the Summer.
Anybody up for the job? Who would be interested in going?

I'm in for this one too (no surprise there). Though the visit was very short ( and no pictures I'm afraid) I'd love to be able have a look around especially after dark. I can start putting a few feelers out to to get possible permission for a night vigil unless there's anyone out there who knows of a good contact already. Anyone else interested?

To be honest you havent missed that much. Lots of research and going to church and website redesign and generally getting stuff together.
We hopefully will have a private residence coming up in Norfolk soon which is supposed to be extremely active to the extent the floor boards have actualy risen in reaction to something, though I wont go into detail here.....

Don't mean to intrude on your plans, but any chance of Sue and I tagging along when you next visit Netley? I've never been - think Sue has though. We were planning to go at some point.
