Been looking into this one yesterday there isnt a lot about the place on the internet so should be interesting to see what the medium picks up as I dont beleive an investigation has been held here before either...
All I found was it was about 600 years old and a few details about the spooks but that was from PT's website. Everything else on the net is about its function as a YHA.

I'm sure I remember reading that a group has been there before, but don't know who or when. "Various investigations have been carried out over the past year or so, not one group has left disappointed! The uneven floors may be a factor in one of the sightings. The house is said to be haunted by a woman that fell to her untimely death by accident, due to her husband lifting up floorboards. Or was it an accident?" (Taken from PT website) ;D

Interesting place though the activtity seemed to get weaker as the night went on. Best results was early evening when we were on our own waiting for the worskhop to finish and I connected with James Caldwin the Proprieter in the Lounge from 1828 who was about 7ft tall. Sam actually had to get off her seat and check no one was sitting across the room as we both felt we saw someone sit down in the armchair. (Have yet to confirm these details but thats what we got at the time)
Andrew joined us shortly after and the three of us had a small round coffee table table jumping up and down and had knocks responding to questions coming from the middle. As I trust both Andrew and Sam not to move the table or mess about this was very interesting indeed.

It was an enjoyable night, though as Steven says did get less active as the night rolled on. The building is like an old fairground haunted house. A maze of rooms with slatting walls and floors. Great looking place.
It was so strange as Steven was discribing James Caldwell. I couldn't see him but I was so convinced that someone was sitting in the chair that I had to get up and check for peace of mind.
The best bit for me was definately the table tilting with Steven and Andrew. I trust both of them beyond question that neither would move the table and some of the ways the table moved it would have been impossible for either of them to move it. The tapping was faint but audible and was def responding to our questions, even mine. Made my night, no made my year... ;D ;D

I agree Jamie. I like the idea of glass moving and table tilting and have done a few but I've never been 100% convinced that someone wasn't moving it themself even unintentionally. I trust you, Sammy and James as well as Andrew and Steven plus Chris and Geoff. I know 150% non of you would move the table or glass. One day it would be good to have a try and see what happens. ;D

I also agree that you have to be able 100% to trust the other people in the seance not to move the glass. I know that I have never consciously done so and I am sure none of you would either ;D
We ought to have a go some time!

I agree. It is not a 'true' seance unless you can 100% trust all the particpants.
