I have been invited to attend an overnight stay and investigation by a psychic research team at Muncaster Castle in Cumbria on 2nd April so I will report back after the investigation. There may actually be some places left on this investigation and I know they are planning more in the future is this one is successful. If you are interested please contact Muncaster Castle directly.
Bye for now Morticia x

Sorry to butt in - but yes, that's it. Went there quite a while ago, I think it's near Ravenglass in Cumbria. Didn't know they did ghost hunts though

Hi I stayed at munster a few years ago- the home of tom fool! it was just myself and two friends who slept in the tapestry room- we had no equiptment and sorry to say fell asleep. the place has a brillant atmosphere and im sure through all the history has more then a couple resident spooks (unfortunately we never saw any- but i have to say we slept in the 400 year old 4 poster bed and i really felt that someone was watching us- it was very unnerving and i refused to open my eyes unless i was sure someone else was awake too!!!)
hope you have a good time there, they do charge quite a bit to stay there the night for normal people, i know that, and they also dont let independant paranormal groups into investigate, there is only one person who is doing an ongoing investigation of this place and its only through him that you get the invite.
its a beautiful place though, hope u enjoy it.

Hi, yes it is near Ravenglass and no it's not cheap. For this investigation we are being charged £99 each and we have to bring our own sleeping bags if we want to get some kip (we do get a 3 course meal though!) I think it will be worth it though to experience an investigation with a professional. They've just started doing these invetigations last year and if they are popular they plan to do some more this year. We also spent the night in the Tapestry room about three years ago and had some strange experiences and caught orbs on video, that worked out a lot cheaper, about £40 each if you manage to squeeze 8 of you in there!!

I spent a weekend in Muncaster last November, and it was a great night. Unfortunately it wasn't very exiting in a paranormal sense, and I also fell asleep in the Tapestry Room (!!!) but the place does have fantastic atmosphere and the grounds are beautiful in the dark.
If you are interested in wildlife & conservation, book a tour of the World Owl Trust sanctuary in the morning - my good friend is a WOT trustee and owns 4 of the rare owls there - and say hello to the raven for me!
Have a great night!
