I think it was just called The Rectory, a private B&B - but the owners had reported spooky goings on...maybe the rector that lived there years back..it was near Ventnor ;D But there are loads of supposedly haunted hot spots, a lot linked to smugglers

Hi there, iv'e just been on this weekender and I had a great time... my bathroom door seemed to have a mind of its own but was it Paranormal? I do not know. The Isle of Wight certainly does deserve its reputation as the Ghost Island, everywhere you go there are ghosts reported. A lot of the older ghost stories were probably made up by Smugglers, just to keep folk indoors on dark nights so they would not be seen luggin their hooky goods about. Cracking place. CJ
