Im pleased to announce I was again rather spooked last night. Thats the last two investigations now. You would think it got easier. I think a lot of it was down to suggestion however as during the walk around Jenny was telling me how she had connected with a woman on the landing of the servants quarters with blood pouring from the top of her head and sobbing. Earlier in the evening one of the crew and one of the staff at the manor also heard sobbing and someone calling "Help Me!" from the same area. When they went to see who was in distress no one was there. So off we go on the first vigil to sit in the pitch black landing that is still in original decor and original (or what would be fitting) furnishings. So being the team lead muggins here has to sit at the edge of the group facing out into the darkness. You wonder at those small hours of the morning why we do this dont you. Stories of how the furniture in the two rooms behind us moves around at night and the loud thumping of foot steps coming from within on previous vigils are also going through my head. Then in my peripharal vision I can see someone standing standing on the landing, a white figure. No one has come up the stairs as the barrier is still in place. The only other way they could have got there is to walk through us. So what do I do? I shut my eyes So my point is I wished I hadn't listened. If I hadnt gone in with those thoughts in my head maybe I would have been prepared to take a peek and not be in fear of some bloody ghoul whailing at me. Maybe I was just very suggestable last night.... The same figure was kind enough to apear to other groups throughout the night and one of the teams got some interesting snaps of "something" coming down the stairs. Hopefully they will be available soon.
