Have just spent a few days in Devon, staying near Totnes, and paid a very interesting visit to Berry Pomeroy.
Fortunately there was hardly anyone else about at the time, so had a good nose around - although I didn't really know what to look out for, but parts of the castle had an extremely unnerving atmosphere, and I didn't like one bit one of the dungeons/cellars - but wasn't sure if it was the one Margaret was imprisoned in!
Needs a return visit at night methinks!!

berry is a great place isn't it
i recently went to somerset on my hols
and went to cleeve abbey
another very interesting place

Glad you had a good time, it is a good place.
Margaret was supposedly held in St Margarets tower which is as you face the gate house the tower on the far right. The audio tour tells the story when you go in there and the name of it on the wall is a bit of a give away so you probably got the right one. ;D
