When we have had something like that happen we never seem to have a camera handy or you can bet as soon as you point a camera at it it stops so maybe he got lucky?

Here are some of my thoughts after viewing the clips again, a couple of things strike me as a little odd. For instance in the 'Ghost Door' clip the guy filming shows you one side then the other so you are sure there is no one their then the door shuts seemingly by itself right away, theres no waiting for it to happen, it happens right on cue.
Then theres the 'Ghost Video' clip in the guys kitchen, on the forum I got the clips he says the light switch is in shot next to the door behind the light so he couldn't be flicking the switch himself. But at the end of the clip you see him flee through a door behind him into his garden, usually you would also have a light switch next to that door too so you can turn on the light when you come in. Also in this clip I noticed when he runs you get a good shot of his hand fumbling with the latch and opening the door, if you were really running in fear I feel the hand with the camera would probably drop to your side and you'd get floor shots and maybe your feet, his shot of his hand seems too intentional to give the impression of panic if you know what I mean!
Simon.

I agree with you there Simon. Although the clips do seem convincing, after a bit of thought I reckon they could easily have been set up...esp what you say about letting the camera drop and making a run for it!!
The heavy breathing also seems a bit OTT! ;D

also on the first clip, there are people in the background down the hallway a bit
and they are taking completely no notice
if there was so much activity going on everyone would be watching

I would say in his defense though that when you are filming the camera does often become a third eye, especialy when filming in the dark. If you have the eye piece actualy up to the eye and not using the little mini screen then I would say it was not abnormal to have filmed himself opening the door. If your panicing as daft as it sounds you can often carry on using the camera and view everthing through that camera. No that I panic often, I just heard

First clip.. the door. Would like to see the full quality version. Im sure when the door opens the first time u catch a climps of what might be fishing wire. If they knew they were putting the clip online and it would be bad quality then they would know using fishing wire would not be a problem. Also again like tp point out the pople down from the room. Wouldnt they have run off or be watching??
The ghost clip..... Light's are an easy thing to fake when u cant seem the switch and the bowl again could be a fishing wire trick which due to bad quality you couldn't see. ALSO the fact that he looks at the table ages before the bowl moves seems a bit suspect. Almost as if he got the timing wrong....
The last clip... WHY would you be filming a door for no good reason? It seems like has to prove too much that there is nothing behind the door as he looks twice.. It also waits untill he is out of the room before closing. Everything just seems to timed.. He walks out of the room and the door instantly closes. I'd say these are a bit suspect.

On the forum I got the clips the guy stated about the ghost video clip that he was just about to have breakfast when he noticed the chair on his right start to move, this is when he says he ran upstairs to get his camcorder. When he got back the light was flashing so he started filming that and when that stopped he says he pointed the camera at the chair on the right to see if it would move again, thats when the bowl started moving. He also states the door thing happened about 5 times before he got the camera to film it so he was expecting it to happen but as you say it all seems too well timed. Anyway these are his explinations to how and why he was pointing the camera in the right place at the right time! They are suspect as you say and we only have the guys word for what is happening.
