Simon from Paranormal Farnham (see links) has found the folllowing in a book called 'Ghosts of Hampshire and the Isle of White' by Donald A. Parr
Odiham
It was from the village of Odiham in the year 1203, that King John set out for the historic meeting at Runnymede and to Odiham he was to return.
Odiham Castle, today a crumbling ruin, has been home to many kings over the years and also to Elizabeth 1. But it is not with the ghosts of kings, queens and other royal personages that the castle is haunted, but by that of a lowly minstrel. On clear moonlit evenings, especially in autumn, are often heard the sweet notes of his flute and with them sometimes appears the spectre of the minstrel, often described as ‘a thing of shreds and patches.’ On the banks of the canal which links the old castle with the village of Greywell there have been many sightings of prisoners being escorted to and from the dungeons, their clothing that of yesteryear.
Many other reports have been recieved from people not actually seeing anything, but experiencing a feeling of impending doom, or an atmosphere of dread. One wonders just what caused such an atmosphere and the apparitions seen on this spot.
