www.corfecastle.org.uk/I went here on Saturday. The site is in ruins but still worth a visit though not too sure about the £5 entry fee which I thought was a bit cheeky considering most ruins are free but the lawn was nicely kept.... As for ghosts there is mention of some trapped miners being heard by the gatehouse calling out for help, the site caved in on some miners a while back. Another woman was tapped on the shoulder by a female spirit who said "excuse me" So not exactly a colourful paranormal history to the place but there you go.... The tour guide does have a section "Are there any ghosts at the castle?..... You decide." Then goes onto to explain the above. Personaly I felt there was a man from the 70's with us at one point wearing a beige almost safari suit. Felt he would have been into photgraphy as well. Was late 50's early 60's I would guess and had blonde thinning hair with a side parting and was quite smiley so am assuming he was just popping in as he liked the place as opposed to anything tragic happening there. I did get a name but do you think I can recall it now??? Blooming memory Im getting old.

I've visited the castle of many occasions, including about 3 times last year, as I was staying nearby. Its best if you go early, as I know it can get pretty busy. On my last visit I felt decidedly uneasy at the far side of the castle, the part furthest away from the town. Although this could have been due to the thought of having to battle my way through all the tourists back to the car-park! :/
