DrJones dropped in at Southsea Castle last weekend for a little look around. Very interesting site actually and well worth the £3 entrance fee, especially the spooky if not rather smelly tunnels. . www.southseacastle.co.uk/The entrance to Southsea Castle. Inside the tunnels. Brings back memories of lovely Coalhouse Fort A report, which includes our experiment with precognitive divination to follow shortly. This is a fancy way of saying that I drew some psychic art while traveling down to the castle and we were both writing down any images, words or phrases that came to us.

Southsea Castle - built between 1539 and 1544, this castle was designed by Henry VIII himself. It was updated in 1850, and was in use by the military until the 1960s. Southsea castle was described in 1544 as 'praised by all men that have seen it'. It was from Southsea Castle that Henry VIII saw the Mary Rose sink in the French Invasion of 1545. It was captured by Parliament in the English Civil War.

Yeah it's a really cool castle. They have a Time Tunnel thing which is great. Tells the history of the castle, with a sound track and scenes with mannequins. We went up to the top of the tower (Geoff had to coax me up the spiral stairs as I'm not good at heights). The view was amazing.
