Clop hill & Wilden manor

Hi me and a friend are going to wilden manor and clophill on the 20th this month just wondering what you guys think of the place’s personal opions ect.

We have been to clophill many times before mainly in the early hours of the morning I have always felt a heavy atmosphere at clophill like some one has dropped a lead blanket over you a kind of pressing presence. I don’t consider myself a medium I don’t think I’m sensitive in anyway to the paranormal maybe because we chose to go in the early hours of winter darkness and our imaginations are playing up on us that we feel this way im not sure but some thing don’t feel right about the place.

I know its history well and what has been on the site before St Mary’s church was built have any of you had any experience’s at clophill you can tell me about?

Wilden Manor

Now this place I don’t know to much about only far as reading book called ghostly Bedfordshire by Damien 0’Dell.

Again im hoping I can pick your brains for info here about how creditable this book is and the author one thing that impressed is that the author seems to go great lengths into his research far as history matters on articles in the book, also any information you peeps have on Wilden Manor .

I found a photo of Clophill church a couple of years back, and immediately had the feeling that something not very nice had happened there.

I later read, after searching the Internet, that supposedly Satanic/Black Magic rituals had taken place there in the past...it certainly does seem to have a creepy feel to it, even just looking at a photo!

On Wilden manor I cannot find nowt on the net though I must confess I need to spend more time on a deeper search for info.

All I have is that I have read in books. Wilden manor is in Wilden just outside Bedford and the Manor is located opposite the Victoria pub. The site is meant to contain many ghosts and has strong poltergeist activity when you try and leave the derelict manor

Update on Wilden Manor

Trying to find information on this place is hard I know about its history and it's strong links with the village church from books but as I don’t have a scanner I’m not sure how I can give you more info, this place as had very violent and unhappy history which is fact according to the beds record library .

I did find a website that has done an investigation on Wilden Manor but the investigation seems half arsed. They did not go inside the manor according to witness accounts people have only witnessed poltergeist activity once you have been inside the manor then tried to leave the site like something don’t want you to go lots of stone throwing and such.

Want to get to Wilden Manor just before dusk so I can check out the nearby church and can see my way around the house then stay to around 2 or 3 am then drive over to Clop hill to spend rest of the night.

All I have is a camera see if I can get a few orb's I don’t have any EVP equipment and don’t know how to do any dousing im just putting a toe into the water .

My advice would be to do as little to no research before going. Dont fill your head with any expectations of what you might expect to see or experience at the site so go in cold for want of a better word.

Pick a nice clear day and pop down then and just pick up the "vibe" of the place. See if you are drawn to any areas and get a good or bad feeling in others. Take a journal and write down anything that comes to mind no matter how daft it may seem at the time and most of all relax and dont try too hard as you will be in danger of blocking anything interesting happening.

There are all kinds of gadgets out there on the market but at the end of the day the best tool you can use is yourself.

When you get back take out your journal and start digging.

Wow yeah the year is flying by again. How did it go? We were talking about this place in the week funnily enough, must get down there at some point soon.
