During my research into perpetual motion I came across this site which has a workable theory. If anyone else has a great idea or an actual working model there is an International prize so get thinking. www.begent.net/toast.htm

I have a much simpler idea to the buttered toast strapped to the cats back theory for perpetual motion. Wouldn't you get the same effect if you simply buttered the toast both sides? Then both sides would be trying to land on the floor causing the toast to hover, spinning perpetually! Just a thought ;D Simon.

It could unfortunately have then opposite effect. If both sides of the toast or even the cat were buttered it wouldn't matter which side the toast/cat landed as it would always land butter side down, what ever side that is. ( unless in the case of the toast it managed to land on its side or crust which though amazing, highly unlikely). Therefore that would negate the whole perpetual motion effort. Good thought though, Simon. ;D
