I was channel hopping last night and came across Paranormal Egypt on Living, it turned out to be the first of a new series with Derek Acorah so I thought it might be good for a laugh.

I've always been sceptical of Dereks abilities, a little too theatrical for my liking, and I can't seem to take him seriously these days. Anyway they were investigating the mysterious death of Ramesses the 3rd. They started out in the museum which houses Ramesses' mummy, along with loads of other mummys of kings and queens and instantly Derek picks up on a man of great importance and power...well I could have come up with that! Then he starts chasing around spirit lights that noone else can see. Anyway it looks like later in the show he had the usual possession experience but I'm not sure cos I fell asleep!!!

The show just looks to me like a cover for Derek and crew to get a free holiday to Egypt. Lets face it theres a lot of info you can find on the history of the place and I didn't see Derek come up with anything new.

Did anyone else see the show and manage to stay awake till the end?

i didn't bother seeing this show i feel like you simon, Derek is so over the top it is annoying

and to be honest the history of the pharohs is so documented it is even less likely i would believe a word they all said

I feel the same, when I first started getting interested in the paranormal, I believed everything Derek said or did!

Im not too sure he actually has much ability at all now!!!
