not sure wot ya call it but on MH last week they had this sml board thing wiv patterns carved on it and a pencil on it they were all holdin it ie fingertips and were askin for spirit to draw a symbol i understand its a way of divination but wot it drew was like a celtic cross (well wot it looked like 2 me ) does anyone know the name of this and wot the idea behind it is i know shoulda paid more attention lol ;D

no problem i think that is a very interesting experiment as you cant see what is being written i would probably agree to try that one more than a ouiji board, although in the right enviroment and with the right people im open to anything.

We used one at Bovington I dont recall there be anything of any interest as a result. though I wasnt in the team that used it so might be wrong....

No not a planchette with a pen in it.
I will probably end up buying one at some point though as I usually get suckered in ;D

Unfortunately not, though I think I did overhear that they didn't get alot from it. I may wrong but I think the guy using it was saying it wasn't working properly and that the pencil was pushed too far into the planchette so it wouldn't move across the paper properly. I think they got a few swiggles and thats about all.
I'd be interested in having a go with one myself. It's like automatic writing but plus some.
I also recently aquired a new ouija board myself but havent had chance to try it out yet though.

Meg just been caught out already this month so on my toes now... ;D
VS I would imagine it would work best with a magic marker style pen as a pencil would ware down anyway.

I agree and if the activity was quite strong the pencil's lead would snap easierly too.
