The Psychic Adventures Of Derek Acorah by Derek Acorah (*****)
I suspect that this is a book many of you will have already read. I myself have only just got around to reading it and I am definitely giving it a big five stars. I loved it, though I may be a bit biased as I always watch Most Haunted and I am also going to see Derek at one of his live shows in November. This book documents Dereks life from him discovering his gift as a child to his career as an apprentice-pro footballer at various clubs, including Liverpool FC, to his early platform appearances at small spiritualist churches, private readings and then right up to date with his various TV appearances most notably the Antiques Ghost Show, Psychic Live and of course Most Haunted. There are many stories of the people and the places that Derek has met and visited during the course of his medium work. There's also a bit on Dereks relationship with Sam too. I think one of the things I loved most about this book is that while I was reading it I could hear Dereks voice in my head as it is written in the way his would have spoken it. It was almost like he was sitting behind me telling me about his adventures. The book is full of interesting facts about his life, some of which are well known some of which aren't and is humorous as well as sad in some parts, though Derek always keeps a positive attitude. I can't recommend this book enough. For those who haven't read it, read it. For those who have read, it I hope you loved it as much as I did.

Thanks for your review Sam. As a result, I think I would be tempted to take a sneeky peak. What is the next book on your list ?

Yeah its a really good book, Chris. I really enjoyed reading it. I'm still in the process of reading The Complete Idiot's Guide By Bob Olson, which is quite a thick book and I've started reading Uri Geller's Mind-Power Book by Uri Geller with Jane Struthers which was loaned to me by a very good friend of ours, who has a large collection of books I want to read. ;D. Have a read of Dereks book if you do get a chance though and let me know what you think of it. I hope you'll like it too.

I dont recall what I paid but I got it from them as well last year.
I had a bit of a book buying spree last week and got a big red book on communicating with spirits which Ill write a review on later once I have digested.
It was quite strange as it was the first book I ever purchased which had the full instructions on how to use a ouija board in and I was lead straight to it.
Well I found it Spooky as we were only talking about it the night before...

I don't think I've ever come across a book giving instructions on using a ouija board before!

Meant to say before now, I finished this one a couple of weeks back and yes very enjopyable. Not as much an eye opener as the first book as in an eductation but still a good read. Currently reading How To Hunt Ghosts by Joshua P Warren. So far so good
