A very good book which covers the spiritualist church, its history and a lot of the lingo for the newbie.
It also gets quite technical in places as well and covers such topics as ectoplasm, guides and seances etc which was a total surprise for me as I had bought the book purely for some knowledge on the church, always a good idea I beleive if your going somewhere like that to know what your getting into.
Anyway at about £6 well worth a read. Nothing ground breaking if you have read a lot of these books but if your just starting out worth a look.

This is a very useful section, as I've bought a few books recently on various subjects, and you often never know whether you're buying a load of rubbish or not! Might give this one a try.

Thanks Hartswood. I think we all bought some clangers in our time.

Have just sent for this one, along with a couple of others from Amazon - who gave it a good review!

I bought this one mainly because I was curious, not only of spiritualist churches, but of spiritualism in general. You're right in saying it covers many others aspects, and I found the section on spiritualist healing particularly interesting, as well as the chapter on mediumship. And it doesn't blind you with science either! ;D It's written in an easy to understand way! I agree that at only £5.99 its worth parting with your pennies for.
