I was just wondering what would be the ultimate site to do.
If money and location were no object where would you want to go on an investigation?

Alcatraz would be cool. I always think of one of the Eddie Izzard shows though when he did the opening bit about Alcatraz. One place that I would like to do is the Winchester Mansion. Sarah Winchester married into the family and upon her husbands death inherited the entire fortune. Under the advice of a medium or psychic at the time, as she was Haunted by the souls that the Winchester guns killed, she set about creating a place for them to gather and be at peace. The house is a sprawling labryth of hidden passages, trap doors, stairs that lead nowhere and doors that open to perilous drops into adjoining rooms. The idea being any soul looking to seek revenge and haunt Sarah who also chose to live in the house would get lost and confused. www.winchestermysteryhouse.com/

The other site that I loved to do, which is unfortunately not only financially but physically impossible is the Titanic (unless they can raise it like they did in the film Raise The Titantic-1980).They'd also have to join it together as I believe they found it broken into 2 or 3 pieces. www.titanic1.org/octopus.gma.org/space1/titanic.html

Thats a definite want to do for me as well. Which makes for another interesting thought if spirits haunt ship wrecks? Im guessing they probaly do even if it is in the form of a recording?

Winchester Mansion was the site you were talking about at the weekend wasn't it? The picture of it looks great. I do love houses like that, lots of hidden passages and traps & stuff, but could live without the perilous drops though. Reminds me of the Stephen King book - Rose Red, which was a mini series on television recently too. The layout of Rose Red was along the same lines, passages leading no where etc. In the case Rose Red the passages were constantly changing & moving about confuse people more. A group of people with psychic powers were invited to spend the night in a haunted house.

Or head-butt her ;D. I agree though how coooooollll would a 12 hour vigil at Rose Red be, if we survived 12 hours that is, Anyone who hasn't read the book or seen the mini-series it a definate must.

Back to Stevens comment on haunted ship wrecks. I think there's no reason why they couldn't be haunted. Spirits don't breath therefore don't need dry land so there's no reason to suppose that they wouldn't stay linked to the site of their death even if it was in the depths of the ocean. However what would be the case if someone died on an airplane while it was in flight. Would the spirit haunt the actual airplane or the area in the sky it died in? A haunted airplane would be a great site to do a vigil. I'll have to find out about some.

I have read before accounts of aircraft being seen flying in the sky silently then they have disapeared.
There was something the beginning of this year where I think about 30 eye witnesses called into the local radio station and Police reporting a couple of world war II bombers flying into a housing estate. They made no sound and just flew into the houses before disapearing.
I think it turned out the housing estate was used as an air field during the war. So maybe one or more of the crew died on board and this was the result?
