10th anniversary I might be a few months late… but it’s ten years (and a few months) since that most interesting trip to Berry Pomeroy … blimey… whatever next - my hair might start falling out. I think a congrats is in order. So.. err… congrats. An eleventh year reunion might be in order – it’s a nice number. Can we hire a Vauxhall Belmont to make it authentic? Or was it a Citroen XM? Or was it old cloth seats Volvo? Who would know the difference anyway… these youngsters with their psssst pssssst Subaru’s… I think I still have a Land Rover somewhere with a thousand seats… Spooky can drive… bagsy I'm in the helicopter

I had a dream the other night my hair was falling out. Synchronicity? 1998 it was. Thanks to the wonders of Bill Gates it was only last year. I checked and the pics have a created date of 2007 we just feel its longer. Bill wouldnt lie. The Belmont was a nice looking motor at the time. We often talk of going back properly. EH do hire the place out to small groups for overnight stays as well. It could be done. Sure beats climbing the wall which Paul still thinks is possible. It could all work as long as I stay on the phone to Sam and guide her in No eating pasties in front of Maggies window and leave a small kinda egg toy for the little girl. Must get the DVD on utube and hide one day Thank you sky one and happy anniversary everyone ;D

Cool - that’s the only picture of the elusive Belmont XM ever taken Send it in to Autochapbloke… and thanks to Bill Gates for making me only 27 years old. These days I drive a Maserspaghetti… would they let me in? It does carry a handy tool kit for climbing castle walls… I assume that a screwdriver, a warning triangle, and a flask of tea are all that one needs for such an adventure. How much to hire the place from EH? I kindo’ like the idea… Also, thank you Sky - that chav shroud above the clouds - I never thought I’d thank them for anything. With a healthy dose of hindsight, the location certainly lived up to expectations on the day. After the darkness of ‘the room’, I wasn’t even brave enough to ask the old ladies in the shed/ticket booth if..err.. ‘has anyone ever seen anything weird here?’. Spooky did that. Brave soul. Although I do remember that they found the expression on my face (shock) rather amusing.. if they were really there at all. Did we pay to get in? I have a thought of some gardener finding some random money in a shed and wondering how it got there. If you’re up for it, I am… but we need nine other bravehearts (to make 11… it’s an anniversary number thing), so volunteers step forward. Competent drivers first, followed by local (to BP) pub landlords next (preferably with a Spanish attitude to the smoking ban)… anyone with a helicopter pad also welcome. A marketing proposal: February 2009 Berry Pomeroy Adventure. It will be great. Please come. …it might need a bit more work and a couple of pics, but it’s a start.
