Basingstoke Haunts...

This afternoon (12th march), myself, the moo, hartswood and raven visited a couple of locations in the basingstoke area.

the first was a strange old church we stumbled across by accident a few years ago whilst out walking near the village of farleigh wallop. the atmosphere around the church is strong and at times feels very dark/oppressive. we all picked up on a change in atmosphere and one area in particular containing a tree had a very strong feel to it. raven was picking up that perhaps people had been hung here and on closer inspection of the tree, it appeared to have a branch with marks on which would certainly tie in with ropes being hung from it. hartswood had already mentioned that she felt sick in this area as well.

we then went on towards the church itself and walked around the perimeter. using her pendulum, hartswood almost certainly picked up on what we think may be a ley line convergence on the site of the church. at the entrance of the church, raven picked up on the presence of two spirit children (a boy called Alix and his sister) and said that the girl was running around the area in front of the church. i was using our emf meter and picked up repeated 'jumps' on the emf signal strength, as if something was there one second and then gone the next.

we finished off the day with a visit to the holy ghost chapel in basingstoke. we all agreed that the atmosphere was a lot nicer here although we certainly felt that there was 'something' there. raven picked up on a catherine poulter, who she felt is active at the site.

Yes, an interesting excursion ;D I was definitely picking up some sort of energy/ley lines converging at the church, and funny that at exactly the same time raven and myself felt sick by what we thought could have been a "hanging tree". We need to try to find out more about the church and the area as a whole.
I particularly liked the Holy Ghost Chapel and graveyard

yes, a very worthwhile interesting afternoon..and great to meet some other like minded people!

After coming home and looking at some digital pics I took, I discovered something rather strange on a pic of that same tree.. It is being looked at by Hartswood, cupcake and moo but may warrent a return visit to check out the tree further.
That area stirred up many bad, oppresive feelings and I was not alone in this view.

Also what is strange is there are orbs (I know, I know.....) on the photo I took of the tomb/grave under the yew trees at Holy Ghost Chapel - its the only photo that captured any. And I know there is something significant about that grave

Just to let you know ... we have just been checking the dictaphone recordings from the church at Cliddesden, where Raven picked up on the children and the emf meter was getting readings .... we seem to have what sounds like children playing in the distance on the sound waveform ... now I'm spooked!

Just goes to show that sometimes the simple, short investigations can pick up the most

Particularly interesting as the EMF meter was showing signs of something at exactly the same time!

I can't belieeeve it . the moo's trying not to think about it too much, as the reason we started recording with the dictaphone was because he thought he had heard children. the rest of us hadn't heard anything, but we thought, just in case, we ought to record.......and that's just what we seem to have got. it's quite clear i think.

Just listened to it a couple of times - there are definitely children's voice on there! And there were no children about at the time.

hey.. forgot to say.. there is an actual church!!! saw it as we drove away......may pop in the grounds and church again next week to follow up... company welcome!
